The importance of photo planning for my magazine
- Planning on how to arrange the photos on the magazine pages are important because it makes sure the images are placed in an ascetically pleasing way.
- For the cover page, I want one cut-out image of the main dish. I kept most of the text from severely obstructing the image, but I still want to layer them a little.
- For the table of contents page, I want to have one collage featuring 3 pictures. The biggest picture will be a picture of the dish with a different angle from the cover. The two smaller images will contain one ingredient each from the line up.
- For the two-page spread I tried to keep the images in the center of the spread with the text surrounding it. The dominant photo will be all the ingredients cooking in one pot. The top smaller image will have the full line up of the main ingredients. The bottom small image will be the prepared (but still raw) versions of the ackee and saltfish.
