Design process for the table of contents

Start

I kept the same color scheme throughout my magazine. The images were arranged into a collage. The biggest image shows a different angle of the dish compared to the cover. The two smaller images feature some of the ingredients used to create it. The yellow block will be the exclusive content featured in this specific issue. The weekly features section contains content featured in every issue.

The cooking magazines I looked at had chef interviews so I included one in my magazine. The recipes featured either have Jamaican roots or are very popular in the country, that was done to preserve the Jamaican theme. For each recipe, a brief appealing description was written below it, another trait that was present in some cooking magazines.

For weekly features, I included elements that most cooking magazines have. Ex: Chef interviews (Chef's Corner), top 10 list (Cooking Essentials), and cooking trends (Cooking Craze). I tried to give each feature a catchy name since thats the norm for this genre.

The space beside "weekly features" was for the cover credit but I overestimated how much space I needed so some things got rearranged.

Finish
I expanded my weekly features list to fill out the empty space above the cover credit while not surpassing 75 pages since that's the limit for weekly publications. Finally, decorative details and the page number were added to finish the table of contents.
